What this change means
A lake on the mountain: the third, fourth and top lines move, and here the two judgments act as equal partners. In the starting hexagram, observation precedes action, and inspiration flows both ways, from you to others and from your models to you.
The resulting hexagram, 31 Attraction, says you'll do well to the degree that you stay open and receptive, which lets supportive people come close, generously and without self-interest. Together they describe a quiet magnetism. Careful, open observation makes you receptive, and receptivity draws people in. Listen more than you speak, notice what others bring, and leave room for them. Watch for watching with an agenda, or trying to attract support by effort alone; openness without calculation tends to bring the right people near.
