What this change means
Thunder rolls under Heaven, and everything moves without pretense: the first, fifth and top lines change. Both judgments count equally. Passion's speaks of enthusiasm that wins help for large projects, provided others' needs come into it. The resulting hexagram, 25 Innocence, says that acting with a pure heart, free of hidden motives and in line with what's right, lets blessings reach you, while anything else brings obstacles. The question here is what drives your passion. Is it the work itself, or something you want to get out of it? Look honestly. If there's a hidden agenda, set it down. Act from the natural, sincere part of you, at the right time. Enthusiasm that's clean tends to carry others with it; enthusiasm with an angle tends to stall.
What to read, in order
Marked ● is what Zhu Xi's tradition puts at the center for this number of moving lines.
- The judgment of 16 Passion
A time of passionate drive toward action. You can pass this passion on to others to gain their help, which lets you take on big projects with resolve and optimism. For these ventures to succeed and last, you can't look after only your own interests; you also need to keep in mind the needs of the people working with you.
It is favorable to install lords and set the army in motion.
- The judgment of 25 Innocence
If you act with a pure heart, free of hidden motives and without straying from what is right, true to original human nature, you'll let the blessings of heaven reach you. Otherwise you'll meet obstacles and your affairs will become difficult.

- Line 6 of 16 Passion
It's important not to let passion blind you, or let it burn up the interest itself. If that happens, recognize the moment and relax: that way you'll succeed.
Delight in the dark. What is done changes. No fault.
