Held Back becomes Overflowing

What this change means

Three lines change, the Mountain becoming Heaven and the Water becoming Lake: what was a stuck climb now holds a pressure that wants to break out. The two judgments share the weight. Held Back speaks of being stopped at each advance, then stepping back and finding allies so you can clear what's in the way bit by bit. The resulting hexagram, 43 Overflowing, describes a buildup about to spill over, in your own life and in your relationships. Its counsel is careful: bring what's going on into the open, but choose your words so you don't provoke, and act generously to ease the tension. Placed side by side, they suggest that the frustration of being blocked has been piling up. Don't let it burst out as blame. Speak about the situation with tact, enlist the people who share your aims, and let generosity lower the pressure while you keep working.
