Right Action becomes Loss, Then Gain

What this change means

The two top lines move, the sixth leading. It describes a well whose water is drawn and shared, with the cover off and sincere trust; you have the talents and the wish to contribute, and success is close. The fifth, beneath it, is the clear cold spring: you see the opportunities and feel determined to act. Above, Water becomes Mountain, and the figure turns into wind trapped under a mountain. The resulting hexagram, 18 Loss, Then Gain, speaks of mistakes that led to decline, and says that admitting them and making corrections leads back to success, given time. Together they suggest that your clarity and motivation are best used for repair. Look at what went wrong, take responsibility, and set your energy to fixing it. Stir others to help, as the image says, and give the results time to grow.

  3. The judgment of 48 Right Action

You're at a moment when opportunities are on your side. 4. The judgment of 18 Loss, Then Gain

You've made mistakes that have brought you into decline; still, admitting it and making the corrections needed will lead you back to success. Take time to reflect on what caused the loss and, once you've acted, give success time to arrive.

Great success. It is favorable to cross the great river. Three days before the first day, three days after the first day.
