Loss, Then Gain becomes Advance

Starting hexagram
Resulting hexagram

What this change means

Light comes up over the earth once the second, third and fourth lines have moved. The two judgments are held in balance. The starting hexagram is about mending what went wrong: admit it, reflect on its causes, make the corrections, and give results time to come. 35 Advance describes a time of growth when help and favors can come from important people, doors open if you ask, and your talents are recognized. The link is a turnaround. Honest correction is what opens the way to advancement here; the second sentence of the story follows the first. So don't skip the work of repair, but don't stay in it forever either. Once you've done your part, ask for what you need and accept help. As you're lifted, the resulting hexagram asks you to help others grow too.
