Simplicity becomes Initial Obstacles

What this change means

Clouds and thunder fill the picture as the first, third and fifth lines move, and the hidden mountain becomes a storm at its beginning. Both judgments are weighed equally here. Simplicity asks for plainness, fairness and no display, trusting your qualities to show on their own. The resulting hexagram, 3 Initial Obstacles, describes a hard start: not the moment to act directly, but to find allies who can act for you, while you stay alert for when to take back the initiative. Humility helps here in a practical way. Letting others represent you requires setting aside the need to be seen, and that's easier for someone who doesn't depend on recognition. Weave the threads patiently and put things in order. Choose your representatives with care, keep watching, and step forward yourself only when the confusion of the beginning starts to clear.
