The Traveler becomes Passivity

What this change means

Earth doubled remains when the third, fourth and top lines change, and both fire and mountain dissolve into open ground. Neither judgment outweighs the other. The Traveler wants you loose and adaptable, gracious with people you're only beginning to know. The resulting hexagram, 2 Passivity, says this isn't the time to take the initiative. Let others guide you, and keep at your projects patiently. For a traveler, that means following local guides rather than charting your own route. Listen, accept direction, and do your part well. Receptivity isn't weakness here; it's how you learn the ground and earn trust. Your own initiative will matter later. For now, patience and support carry you further than leadership would. Let the terrain teach you before you try to shape it.

What to read, in order

  2. The judgment of 2 Passivity
