What this change means

Water below and Heaven above go opposite ways when the second, third and fifth lines change. Two judgments balance the reading. The Traveler asks for a light, flexible attitude in a time of change, and for grace in new connections. The resulting hexagram, 6 Conflict, describes a dispute that action can't solve. Cleverness serves better than force; accepting that nothing can be settled right now, letting events run their course, and asking someone wise for advice can get you out of it. For a traveler, a quarrel on foreign ground is costly. So don't dig in. Stay flexible, avoid escalating, and look for counsel from someone who knows the terrain. Think each step through from the start, and let the matter cool before acting. Patience protects you more than winning would.
