Clearing Obstacles becomes Initial Obstacles

What this change means

Clouds and thunder return: four lines move, and Clearing Obstacles becomes 3 Initial Obstacles. Of that new figure, the third and top lines stand still, and they carry the reading. The third says that right now obstacles aren't solved by acting but by stepping back until conditions improve. The top line adds, simply, not to give up or lose heart despite the difficulties. Having just come through one set of obstacles, meeting another can be discouraging. This movement acknowledges that and asks for patience over force. The resulting hexagram suggests finding allies who can act or speak for you while you stay alert for the moment to take back the initiative. So pull back without despair. Let others carry part of the work, keep your spirit up, and wait for the conditions that let you move again.
