The Army becomes The Traveler

What this change means

Fire flickers on the mountain as four lines move, the second, third, fourth and top, and the settled camp becomes a traveler's road. The bottom and fifth lines remain at rest, and they carry the guidance. The first asks you to act with dignity and focus on what matters right now, since relaxing too much brings trouble. The fifth says that enjoying this temporary stage and using it well lets you accomplish things.

The resulting hexagram, 56 The Traveler, describes a time of small achievements, of new places or situations that ask you to adapt with a light, flexible attitude, letting go of attachments and being gracious. So the army's structure becomes a traveler's good conduct. Stay serious about what counts and light about the rest. Watch for carelessness in unfamiliar territory. Dignity and adaptability together tend to make a temporary stage worthwhile.
