After the End becomes Good Manners

What this change means

Fire glows beneath a mountain once the two top lines change, lighting what's near. The top line sets the direction: keep going, because lingering where the water reaches your head is the real risk. The fifth line adds how to advance: sincerely, with small genuine acts rather than lavish displays, like the simple offering that receives the blessing. The resulting hexagram, 22 Good Manners, asks for kindness, courtesy and good manners; what might look superficial elsewhere leads to success now, in everyday matters rather than great undertakings. So keep moving, but through ordinary, gracious acts. A sincere gesture, a courteous word, attention to small things: these carry you forward. Grand gestures aren't needed now, and the big decisions can wait for another season.

Success. In small things, it is favorable to have somewhere to go.
