After the End becomes Excesses
What this change means
Three lines change, and the lake rises over the trees: a structure that looked complete now carries more than it was built for. Both judgments count equally. After the End describes a brief run of good fortune with stagnation waiting at its close, and says foresight can soften that. The resulting hexagram, 28 Excesses, speaks of needing exceptional measures so that what you've built doesn't give way: check and strengthen the foundations, act in new ways, step out of your comfort zone. The two belong together. The success you're enjoying may be resting on supports that won't hold through the slower time ahead. Look at them now. Reinforce what's weak, be willing to try what you haven't tried, and don't assume that what got you here will keep you standing.
