Inner Peace becomes Observing

Starting hexagram
Resulting hexagram

What this change means

Wind passes over the earth as four lines move, the lower Lake becoming Earth and the upper becoming Wind. The resulting hexagram's still lines hold the advice. The third says that watching yourself along with the signs that come from outside gives you a full view of the situation and lets you decide whether to advance or pull back. The fifth says that observing responsibly shows you how similar situations turned out before, so you can make corrections now. The resulting hexagram, 20 Observing, asks you to look before you act; you may be inspiring others while also needing to watch those who inspire you. Inner calm makes clear observation possible. Look honestly at yourself and at the past, then decide whether to move forward or step back.

    Joy that draws on.

  8. The judgment of 20 Observing

Observe before you act. Right now you're a source of inspiration for others, and at the same time you need to observe those who inspire you. This will let things unfold at the right moment, and perfectly.

Hands washed, the offering not yet made. There is sincere trust, solemn and grave.
