Meeting becomes Inaction

Resulting hexagram

What this change means

Heaven rises below and Water gathers above: clouds climbing toward the sky, rain not yet falling. With four lines in motion, what counts is the pair of lines that stay put in the resulting hexagram, 5 Inaction. Both point toward patience. The fifth says to keep your goal but relax, rest, and watch without acting. The sixth says that when everything seems to be against you, help can appear and resolve the situation. That's a big shift from Meeting, which was eager to gather and move. Here the gathering has done its part, and the next step is to wait well. Prepare while you wait, look at conditions honestly, and stay alert for the moment that calls you forward. If things look bad, don't panic and don't push; support may arrive from a direction you didn't plan. Calm attention, not effort, is what this movement asks of you now.

What to read, in order
