What this change means

Four lines move, from the bottom through the fourth, and the whole figure turns over: Heaven becomes Earth and the Lake becomes Water. With so much in motion, the guidance comes from 8 Union, the resulting hexagram, and from its fifth and sixth lines, the ones left unmoved. The fifth tells you that the people who can help you will come of their own accord, and that it's pointless to keep asking someone who is reluctant. The sixth warns that being slow to form alliances can mean realizing too late that you needed them. After the pressure of Overflowing and its need for tactful openness, this is a call to choose your company well and in good time. Join with those who are already aligned with you. Don't chase reluctant support, and don't wait until the tension peaks to look for allies.

It's a time to act generously to ease the tension that's there.
