Held Back becomes Innocence

What this change means

Thunder moving under heaven replaces water on the mountain as four lines change, and Held Back becomes 25 Innocence. Attention goes to what doesn't move in that figure: its second and fifth lines. The second says the way to succeed is to do your work without thinking about what you'll get from it. The fifth says that if adverse things happen that aren't caused by your own negligence, there's no need to worry; little by little they straighten out. After a stretch of obstacles, both lines ask for a kind of clean simplicity. Act from a pure heart, free of hidden motives, and stop calculating returns. When setbacks come that you didn't cause, don't scramble to fix them with clever schemes. Do what's right in front of you, keep your motives honest, and let things return to their course in their own time.
