Attraction becomes Innocence

What this change means

Thunder moves beneath Heaven as the first, third and top lines change, and everything artificial in the attraction is stripped away. The two judgments carry equal weight. Attraction asks you to stay open and receptive, letting people come close who'll help you generously and without self-interest. The resulting hexagram, 25 Innocence, asks for a pure heart, free of hidden motives and true to what is right; then the blessings of heaven can reach you, while ulterior aims lead to obstacles. The common thread is sincerity. Openness only works when it's genuine, and the people who come close only help freely when nothing is being angled for. So look at your motives. If you want something from someone, say so plainly or let it go. Act straight, without calculation, and let what is meant for you arrive.

What to read, in order

You'll get good results to the extent that you stay open and receptive, which lets people come close who will support you and help you get there, generously and without self-interest.

Success. Constancy is favorable. Taking a wife brings good fortune.

  2. The judgment of 25 Innocence

Contact at the thighs. Holding on to what follows. Going on: distress.

  5. Line 6 of 31 Attraction

If you try to influence others or win their support with words alone and not with matching actions, your achievements will be modest.

Contact at the jaws, the cheeks, the tongue.
