What this change means
The fourth line is the one that moves, and the wind above hardens into Heaven, sealed off from the earth below. This line speaks of wise looking that brings light where there's darkness, and of the recognition that follows. In the old image, it's the guest who comes to see the brightness of a kingdom and is welcomed at court.
The resulting hexagram, 12 Decline, describes the opposite climate: adverse people and situations, poor conditions for acting, and a need to withdraw and keep a low profile. The tension matters. Your clarity is real, but the setting may not reward it right now, and some offers may come from the wrong people. Use your insight to see who's who, and decline what doesn't fit, however tempting. Watch for letting recognition draw you into circles that don't serve you; wisdom here includes knowing when to step back and wait.

You're surrounded by adverse people and situations. Avoid getting involved with those people, no matter what they offer you. Circumstances aren't good for acting or making decisions; it's time to withdraw to a safe place and wait for conditions to change. It's time to keep a low profile.
Stagnation: these are not worthy people. The constancy of the noble person is not favorable. The great goes, the small comes.
