Well-Being becomes Lack of Firmness

What this change means

Wind blows beneath Heaven: the first, fourth, fifth and top lines move, and the outcome is 44 Lack of Firmness. The unchanged second and third lines set the terms. The second says you recognize the adverse person or condition in your life and need to keep it under control, firmly but without violence, so its influence doesn't spread. The third says you know such things exist, yet you're tempted to let them sway you, and it will take a great effort to set them aside. The resulting hexagram describes being surrounded by unsuitable people or situations and underestimating them; without firm limits, they can take control. So in this good time, something unwelcome has slipped in. Don't treat it lightly because things are going well. Name it, contain it, and set clear limits early. The effort is real, but it's smaller now than later.
