Leaving Behind becomes Wealth

What this change means

Fire rises above Heaven as the first, second and fifth lines move, and a retreat opens onto abundance. Three lines in motion put the two judgments on equal footing. The first holds that this step back is a recovery, not a defeat: it gives you breath and a clear head, and releasing the wrong things leaves your hands free for better ones. The resulting hexagram, 14 Wealth, describes what those hands may hold, a time of prosperity both inner and outer. To keep it, stay centered, cultivate generosity and good deeds, and let what you have reach others. The link between the two is clear. Let go with discernment, and what comes back to you is worth sharing rather than hoarding. Wealth that circulates tends to last longer than wealth that's guarded.

What to read, in order

  4. Line 2 of 33 Leaving Behind
